Actress and R&B singer Brandy Norwood was involved in a fatal, four-car accident on an L.A. freeway last December, that was caused when her SUV crashed into the rear of another vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Awatef Aboudihaj, was taken from the scene with mutiple pelvic injuries. Norwood was uninjured in the crash, however, Aboudihaj was later pronounced dead as a result. The singer-actress was alone in her vehicle. No alcohol or drugs were involved, said a California Highway Patrol spokesperson. Brandy told officers she was driving at about 65 miles per hour before the crash occured. According to police, "There's a very high probability that she [Brandy] is the party most at fault or the contributing party". Norwood could face a misdemeanor charge for vehicular manslaughter, which carries a maximum sentence of one year in a county jail and a $1,000 fine. The city's attorney's office is "currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants filing [of the charge]," a spokesman said. Witnesses say that Brandy blames herself for the multi-vehicle crash.

Brandy, a native of Mississippi, burst on the recording scene with her self-tilted debut album in 1994, launching such hits as "I Wanna Be Down," "Baby" and "Brokenhearted." Her fourth album, "Afrodisiac," was released in 2004 with a lead single, "Talk About Our Love," produced by Kanye West. Last year, Norwood served on the panel of judges for NBC's summer show "America's Got Talent."

Aboudihaj leaves behind a husband and child. She was 38.

Personally, I feel for the family of Awatef Aboudihaj. I couldn't even imagine losing my mother or the wife of my kidz, and my prayerz go out to her husband and child. I feel just as bad, if not more, for Brandy and her family. (Why? Cuz you lyked her on Moesha? Cuz "I Wanna Be Down" was your jam in '94?!) No, lolz. Although I did lyke that "Afrodisiac" album... :) Anyway, I feel bad because itz just a reel fukked up circumstance... I mean, granted... Brandy iz a celebrity by choice, and must live and die by the consequencez of her actionz as such.. But at the same tyme, if this was truly an accident...where no drugs and/or alcohol were involved, no foul play or intent to harm was made... I would hate for Brandy to face unfair scrutiny or sentencing, because she's Brandy the singer-actress, and not Brandy Norwood...the human being that makez mistakez just lyke you and me. According to police, they were able to determine that there weren't any mechanical or system failurez with Brandy'z SUV that caused her to rear-end the vehicle of Aboudihaj...and if they are able to prove that pure wrecklessness was the direct cause of the accident, then yeah...charge her accordingly! But if they are unable to do so, and this provez to be merely an accident between two unrelated partiez, I feel it should be left as such. An accident. Of course, if Brandy iz at fault for the crash, she should serve whatever penalty is given to her, by law. But from what I've read and seen on the newz, she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The media getz so caught up in gossip and tabloidz, that they forget that these are still real people whose livez they're invading. I know Brandy has to feel lyke shyt for what her actionz caused...whether it was her fault or not. She took someone'z lyfe! Yet, here come the newz crewz with the barrage of questionz, accusationz, etc. Not once has she attempted to deny her involvement in the accident, or point fingerz at anyone else.

I know that celebritiez oftentimez get "special treatment" when it comez to legality issuez and chargez against "normal" civilianz, and by no meanz do I want that. If she was on her BlackBerry, emailing her brother Ray J about his recent [Golden Shower Sex Tape] with Whitney Houstank, then ok yeah...she knew the risk associated with texting and driving, took that risk...killed someone, and now she must suffer the consequencez... That'z different. I don't know how many timez I've talked on the phone, texted, or even taken picturez while driving.. Yeah, I know itz VERY dumb and irresponsible, but I do it anyway... Why? Because I've gotten away with it.. If the day comes where (*knockz on e-wood*)...where my selfish actionz cause me to harm someone else, or myself because of it...it would only be fair for me to suffer accordingly...and I thynk Brandy feelz this way as well. The media wantz us to believe that Brandy iz trying to blow this over, forget it never happened, etc...and thatz not the case watsoever.. She justz wantz to avoid a "media circus", and that'z perfectly understandable.. This is a serious matter, where someone'z lyfe was unintentionally taken away from their family, and she basically wantz what is going to be best for all partiez involved, without any outside influencez...

So anyway, thatz how I feel about it... If she's at fault, and was negligant in her responsibilitiez as a driver...then yes, guilty as charged. But if not, I hope the judicial system acts appropriately...and fairly. Celebritiez are no different than anyone else...they shyt and piss just lyke u & me...just in prettier toiletz...with Patron water flushez and satin tissue paper.. lolz. :)

Even though I love Brandy I don't believe that she was goin 65mph because no one really does the speed limit in Cali... Now she is being sued for 50 million by the victim's family. She doesn't have that type of money and what makes things worst her last album really didn't sell... All I can say is she better pray!
